Fuel Management Prescription for Faulder South

Under the UBCM SWPI program, Cabin collected field data, laid out and created a 60ha prescription for the small community of Faulder, outside Summerland. The FMP was consistent with the objectives of the Okanagan Shuswap Land and Resource Management Plan and Penticton Indian Band Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The objectives of this prescription include increasing public safety both within and adjacent to the surrounding communities, enhancing the ability of firefighters to protect the public and private property at risk, and improve natural barriers that reduce fuel load continuity and wildfire risk.
