Murphy Creek Ecosystem Restoration Prescription

Cabin developed a comprehensive 400-hectare blanket prescription aimed at enhancing the Ungulate Winter Range habitat in the Murphy Creek Watershed. The team gathered all the necessary field data and strategically defined sections of the treatment unit boundaries. By creating targeted prescriptions, Cabin worked to promote the growth of palatable browse species using a combination of habitat management techniques. These included prescribed burning to stimulate new growth, thinning to reduce competition among plants, pile burning to clear out debris, and pruning to encourage healthier, more nutritious vegetation for wildlife.
