A modular gabion wall was built to stabilize a failing bank under critical infrastructure, helping to prevent erosion and potential damage. The work started with clearing and prepping the site through grubbing and excavation. A survey of the elevations made sure the soil-filled gabion wall was installed accurately. To add extra protection, rock armouring was used to strengthen the wall. Native plants were also added throughout the site to promote environmental recovery. The project was wrapped up on time and on budget, achieving both structural and ecological goals.
