Gallagher’s Canyon Fuel Management

The prescribed area for this project spanned 17.7 hectares, where tree removal was conducted using both mechanical methods, including a harvester and forwarder, and manual techniques to clear the overstory and understory. To manage debris, an industrial horizontal grinder was employed to grind all the removed trees and portions of the understory. For fiber utilization, the majority of the resulting wood chips were transported to A.G. Appels yard, where they were processed for commercial use. This approach ensured efficient use of the material while minimizing waste on site.
