Cabin was contracted to audit the Crawford Area Trails in Myra Bellevue Provincial Park, home to over 100 kilometers of trails used by runners, bikers, hikers, and equestrians. The project included an Archaeological Overview Assessment, Environmental Review, trail assessment, signage audit, stakeholder engagement, and recommendations for future trail planning. Before fieldwork began, we reviewed archaeological, environmental, and access constraints and consulted with local trail organizations.

Using ArcGIS Field Maps and BC Parks’ CityWide App, we documented over 120 kilometers of sanctioned and unsanctioned trails and assessed existing signage. Field data was compiled into recommendations for trail maintenance, monitoring, and decommissioning. Where gaps existed and constraints were minimal, conceptual trail alignments were created using LiDAR.

Final recommendations were reviewed with BC Parks and stakeholders and adjusted based on feedback. Deliverables included updated trail maps, a summary report with key highlights and standards, and detailed recommendations for each trail.
