Big White Ski Resort is growing, and with that comes the need to expand its sewer and utility infrastructure. To support the work, they brought in an environmental monitor to oversee the construction of several bridges and culvert installations across the area. Our environmental team teamed up with a biologist to make sure all provincial and federal environmental regulations were followed, while also providing practical advice on how to get the job done in a way that was efficient and environmentally responsible.

Some of the key elements we handled during the project included:

  • Monitoring water quality to protect nearby streams and waterways
  • Salvaging and relocating fish from impacted areas
  • Implementing effective erosion and sediment control measures

Because of the short construction window at this elevation, timing was everything. Our crews had to stay sharp and coordinate closely with local contractors to keep things moving and wrap up the work before the snow returned!
