Waste Reporting

With Cabin’s roots in forestry, working with the Adventure Tourism industry on Occupant License to Cut (OLTC) applications came as a natural progression. Over the past 5 years, our Registered Professional Foresters have been assisting both ski resorts and backcountry skiing operations with their OLTC applications. To complement our services for cutting submissions, Cabin also provides waste reporting services to our Adventure Tourism clients.

Occupant License To Cut (OLTC’s): We will work closely with the client to ensure all necessary information is complete and accurate throughout the application process. Our team will utilize our in-house drilldown tool to identify any potential overlaps with existing values. If overlaps are detected, we will collaborate with the client to either revise the proposed development or provide a clear rationale supporting it. Additionally, our in-house Geospatial Division will deliver professional mapping services to create any maps required for submission.
It’s advised to to apply a minimum of 1 year before your expiry date to ensure a smooth process – reach out to see how we can help!

OGMA and OGDA: We offer support for old growth management, including the preparation of old growth rationales and conducting detailed field assessments for both Old Growth Management Areas (OGMA) and Old Growth Deferral Areas (OGDA). In addition, we collaborate closely with clients and major forest licensees to identify and evaluate suitable old growth replacement areas.

Development Plan Submission (Selkirk Forest District): We are familiar with the development plan submission process within the Selkirk Forest District. Our team will conduct a spatial analysis to ensure the proposed development can meet timeline expectations, addressing any issues that arise in collaboration with the client. We will also assist in completing all required forms, with a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) from our team providing final review and sign-off on the application.

Waste Reporting: Our waste reporting team is industrious with a keen eye for detail. Using tally sheets provided by the client, we enter the data into the EforwasteBC application and, if required, we can also create reporting maps to support waste submissions. A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) from our team will then upload all necessary documents into the online Waste Application system for approval and billing.
