Knox Mountain Fenceline

In Spring 2024, Cabin Operations and GRD Contracting undertook the reconstruction of the initial parking area and lookout on Knox Mountain for the City of Kelowna. Situated in downtown Kelowna, Knox Mountain serves as a prominent attraction for both tourists and locals, offering remarkable vistas of Okanagan Lake and Kelowna. The project encompassed the establishment of a new fence line, parking area, and rest spot to enhance the experience for visitors. Cabin Operations was commissioned by GRD to erect a 160m fence line surrounding the parking and rest area, extending to the existing pavilion. 

Project highlights include: 

• 163m of fence line
• Utilization of Cedar 2×8 boards
• Application of Valhalla stain to the boards

The procurement of lumber for the project was facilitated through Scott at Deacoff Bros Lumber, a local sawmill in Kelowna, BC. The newly installed fence line is designed to ensure pedestrian safety while enabling them to relish the breathtaking views of the Okanagan. It was indeed a privilege to operate within such an iconic locale in the heart of Kelowna, mere steps away from our office.
