DATE

2016/2017

Background

Designed and constructed a 6km mountain bike climbing trail that allows riders to reach the top of the Three Blind Mice mountain bike trail network. The trail includes some sections of slab rock and rolling flow lines that meander through open Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine forests. As part of this project, Cabin worked with PACA members to offer volunteer trail work and training days.

Challenge

This project came with a limited design located on a rocky remote site.

Solution

Creative mobilization of tools via tracked machinery. Designing trail to work with the landscape and utilize rock features on the trail tread to make it more enjoyable for the rider.
